Role Summary
We're seeking an Associate Full Stack Engineer to join our Enterprise Merchandising & Pricing Platforms team. In this role, you will contribute to the development of systems that manage item setup, catalog data, pricing calculations, and promotional workflows using Java, Spring Boot, Angular/React, and cloud-native architectures.
You'll work closely with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to learn, build, and deliver reliable features. This role is ideal for an early-career engineer with strong fundamentals, curiosity, and a growth mindset who is eager to develop their skills in a fast-paced enterprise environment.
Duties & Responsibilities
- Contribute to the development of full-stack applications using Java (Spring Boot) on the backend and Angular/React with TypeScript on the frontend.
- Collaborate with senior engineers to design, build, and test scalable features and applications.
- Write clean, maintainable, and well-documented code following team standards and best practices.
- Assist in integrating front-end and back-end components through RESTful APIs.
- Participate in code reviews, debugging, and testing activities to ensure quality and performance.
- Learn and apply modern software development practices, including CI/CD, Git-based workflows, and Agile methodologies.
- Leverage AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, AI code assistants) as part of daily engineering workflows to accelerate development velocity and code quality.
- Support production systems and assist with troubleshooting under guidance from senior team members.
- Actively learn the merchandising and pricing domain to build context for effective contributions.
Requirements
Years of Experience
0–1 years of software development experience (internships, projects, or academic coursework acceptable).
Basic Qualifications
- Hands-on exposure to Java, Spring Boot, React or Angular, and modern web technologies.
- Familiarity with databases (SQL/NoSQL) and software development best practices.
- Strong communication skills and a desire to grow as a full-stack engineer.
- AI-native mindset — demonstrated willingness to use AI-assisted development tools (GitHub Copilot, AI code assistants) as part of everyday engineering practice.
Preferred Qualifications
- Internship or academic project experience in web application development.
- Exposure to cloud platforms (Azure, AWS, or GCP) through coursework or personal projects.
- Familiarity with containerization concepts (Docker) and CI/CD pipelines.
- Interest in retail, eCommerce, or enterprise technology domains.
- Experience using AI tools for code generation, debugging, or learning.
