This Position reports to:

Senior Site Manager


Your role and responsibilities:

In this role, you will lead all on-site activities for medium to large projects. You will ensure the cost-effective execution of project deliverables in accordance with contract specifications, quality standards, schedules, and safety requirements.

You will also lead the site team, define main guidelines, and allocate tasks.

  • This is a temporary role with a fixed-term contract of 1 to 2 years.
  • The work model for the role is #LI - onsite.
  • This role contributes to the Process Automation in Energy division in the India Region. Main stakeholders include customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and local authorities.

You will be mainly accountable for:

  • Site Execution & Coordination: Plan, coordinate, and monitor all on-site activities from project start-up to completion, ensuring alignment with contract specifications, quality, schedule, and safety requirements.
  • Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE): Implement and enforce HSE policies, ensuring compliance with ABB's safety standards and regulations. Empowered to halt unsafe activities if necessary.
  • Stakeholder & Subcontractor Management: Maintain relationships with customers, authorities, and suppliers while managing subcontractors to meet project timelines and quality expectations.
  • Material & Cost Management: Oversee material handling, reconciliation, and timely delivery while managing project costs, petty cash, and local purchasing within agreed limits.
  • Commissioning & Site Handover: Ensure equipment commissioning as per design, coordinate with OEMs, and manage the final site handover with all necessary documentation and reconciliation.

Qualifications for the role:

  • B.E/B.Tech in Electrical/Electronics from a reputed university.
  • 5 - 12 years of experience in project execution, with a focus on site management and equipment commissioning.
  • Knowledge of Oil & Gas, Petrochemicals, or other industrial production processes.
  • Experience in handling large-scale Electrical, Instrumentation, Automation, and Telecommunication projects.
  • Strong knowledge of electrical equipment and commissioning procedures.
  • Ability to manage various process instruments and control equipment.
  • Excellent communication, coordination, and team-building skills.
