Role Summary:
The Client Relations Associate/Senior Associate will be the primary point of contact for our clients, ensuring smooth communication, timely delivery of services, and a consistently high level of client satisfaction. This role requires strong coordination skills, an understanding of finance/accounting workflows, and the ability to manage client expectations professionally.
Key Responsibilities
Client Relationship Management
- Act as the main point of contact for assigned clients across accounting, bookkeeping, payroll, or compliance projects.
- Build strong, trust-based relationships with clients and understand their business needs.
- Maintain regular communication to update clients on progress, upcoming deliverables, and any pending information required.
Service Coordination & Delivery
- Coordinate internally with accounting, operations, and compliance teams to ensure timely completion of client deliverables.
- Track deadlines for GST, TDS, ROC filings, payroll cycles, and monthly financial closures.
- Review outgoing deliverables for completeness, accuracy, and alignment with client expectations.
Issue Resolution
- Identify, respond to, and resolve client queries promptly.
- Escalate issues to senior team members where necessary and follow through until closure.
- Proactively identify recurring challenges and recommend improvements in processes.
Documentation & Reporting
- Maintain client documentation, communication logs, and status trackers.
- Prepare MIS reports summarizing client status, deliverables, risks, and dependencies.
- Support onboarding of new clients, including gathering KYC documents, internal set-up, and introductions.
Process & Relationship Improvement
- Identify opportunities to enhance client experience and streamline internal workflows.
- Support cross-functional initiatives to improve service quality and retention.
- Contribute to building a structured client communication framework.
Required Skills & Experience
- Bachelor's degree in accounting, Finance, Commerce, Business Administration, or related field.
- 5-7 years of experience in client management, account management, or coordination rolespreferably in a CA firm, finance function, or professional services environment.
- Strong communication, relationship-building, and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple clients, tasks, and deadlines simultaneously.
- Basic working knowledge of accounting concepts (GL, invoices, payroll, reconciliations, compliance timelines).
- Proficiency with Excel, Google Sheets, and CRM/task management tools.
- High level of ownership, responsiveness, and attention to detail.
