The Associate/Senior Associate, APAC Projects and Change role plays a key part in delivering market, product, regulatory, and operational initiatives across the Asia-Pacific region. The position combines business analysis, project coordination, stakeholder management, and external market engagement to support effective workflows, controls, and operational readiness.
Responsibilities
Business Analysis & Solutioning
Analyse and document business requirements, trading and settlement workflows, and operational impacts
Support the development of target workflows and controls, working closely with internal teams and external counterparties
Gather market insights and validate practical solutions with brokers, custodians, and service providers
Project Delivery & Coordination
Contribute to the end-to-end delivery of Asia-Pacific initiatives involving market, product, regulatory, and operational changes
Track timelines, identify risks and dependencies, and escalate issues as needed
Drive follow-ups, track milestones, and support issue resolution
Stakeholder Management
Coordinate across regional and global stakeholders, including portfolio managers, traders, Operations, Technology, Legal, and Compliance, to support alignment on requirements, timelines, and deliverables
Provide clear and structured updates on progress and issues
Market & External Engagement
Engage brokers, custodians, and service providers to gather and validate market intelligence
Apply market insights to refine workflows, identify implementation considerations, and support best practices and operational readiness across initiatives
Requirements
3 to 5 years of experience in the investment management industry, with exposure to Operations, Settlements, or Middle Office roles
Solid understanding of the trade lifecycle, including execution, funding, confirmation, and settlement
Working knowledge of key asset classes, including fixed income, equities, foreign exchange, and derivatives
Strong coordination, stakeholder management, and communication skills
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
Ability to work effectively across cross-functional teams
Familiarity with Asia-Pacific emerging markets, such as China, India, Korea, and Taiwan, would be beneficial
Strong Microsoft Excel skills
Exposure to Visual Basic for Applications, Structured Query Language, Python, and/or automation or artificial intelligence tools would be beneficial
Comfortable working in a project-based environment, with a proactive and adaptable approach and a willingness to learn in a dynamic setting
