Job Summary
Responsible for executing technical procedures and experiments to support sample analysis and validation. Lead root cause analysis, troubleshoot issues, and drive process improvements to enhance data quality and operational efficiency.
Responsibilities
- Perform and document analytical procedures following company protocols and regulatory guidelines to ensure accurate sample analysis
- Troubleshoot laboratory processes and update standard procedures to improve data quality, reduce costs, and shorten turnaround times
- Serve as a technical resource for laboratory staff and provide team support during line manager absence
- Conduct routine data analysis to verify analytical procedures meet expected outcomes and results fall within acceptable tolerances
- Identify, document, and escalate potential performance errors or unusual results to senior laboratory personnel
- Prepare and upload data analysis results to the LIMS system under senior staff guidance
- Contribute to CAPA investigations, deviations, and resolution efforts to maintain compliance and quality standards
- Communicate clearly and timely with cross-functional stakeholders to support laboratory operations
- Maintain laboratory equipment through routine calibration, maintenance, and suggest improvements for new equipment
- Support laboratory housekeeping consistent with 6S standards to ensure a safe and organized environment
- Manage inventory levels to maintain adequate supplies for laboratory operations
- Prepare buffers and solutions required for analytical procedures accurately and timely
- Deliver hands-on training to laboratory personnel in areas of proven competency and document training activities
- Participate in continuing education through self-study, training sessions, lectures, and meetings to enhance technical skills
- Lead laboratory or cross-functional projects and assist with implementing process changes
- Contribute to the design, development, and execution of routine methods and assays under moderate supervision
- Support safety, quality, and 6S initiatives to comply with company and regulatory requirements
- Adhere strictly to company procedures and applicable regulatory standards to ensure compliance
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Science or equivalent combination of education and experience.
Minimum 1 year of experience in a regulated laboratory environment.
Sound knowledge of principles, theories, and concepts in job area.
Working knowledge of any applicable regulatory standards within area of responsibility.
Proficiency with relevant laboratory techniques.
Knowledge of laboratory safety and infection control procedures and practices including standard precautions and hazardous chemical handling,
Strong technical knowledge of complex testing procedures and science supporting the analysis.
Proficiency with complex laboratory calculations regarding batches and specimens.
Ability to troubleshoot laboratory equipment and resolve process issues.
Good computer skills including proficiency with Microsoft Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Effective organizational and interpersonal skills.
Effective communication and presentation skills.
Capable of handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
Strong attention to detail and accuracy.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with coworkers, managers and clients.
