The Resource Management & Vendor Management professional is responsible for managing the effective planning, deployment, utilization, tracking, and governance of workforce resources across business units, projects, and delivery teams.
This role plays a critical function in ensuring that the right resources with the right skills are available at the right time to support project delivery, customer commitments, operational efficiency, and business growth.
The individual will act as a key coordination point between Delivery Teams, Hiring Managers, Human Resources, Procurement, Finance, Business Operations, and external staffing vendors to ensure smooth execution of resource management and vendor management activities.
The position involves validating manpower requirements, reviewing resource demands, coordinating fulfilment actions, tracking open positions, and supporting strategic workforce planning.
The professional will closely work with project stakeholders to understand current and future resource requirements, skill expectations, project timelines, billability needs, and location or deployment constraints.
The role includes validating job descriptions, ensuring demand accuracy, mapping available internal employees against requirements, monitoring internal fulfilment opportunities, and supporting allocation decisions based on business priority, competency, availability, and utilization targets.
From a Resource Management perspective, the individual will maintain accurate resource data, monitor employee utilization, support bench management, track release plans, follow up on ramp-up and ramp-down requirements, and provide timely information to leadership for decision-making.
The role requires preparation of dashboards, MIS reports, demand and supply trackers, utilization summaries, bench reports, ageing reports, fulfilment status reports, and workforce analytics.
The professional should be able to interpret data, identify gaps, highlight risks, and recommend corrective actions to improve resource productivity, reduce unallocated time, and support efficient manpower planning. From a Vendor Management perspective, the role covers end-to-end coordination for contract employees and vendor partners.
Responsibilities include interaction with vendors for contract staffing requirements, sharing open demands, following up on profiles, coordinating interviews, supporting onboarding, validating contract extension requests, tracking approval workflows, monitoring contract expiry reports, creating and following up on indents, coordinating purchase order activities, supporting invoice-related clarification, and ensuring compliance with procurement and organizational policies.
