Job Description

Role Snapshot:

As the App Engagement / Retention Manager, you will own product-led engagement and retention for Sri Mandir. Your mission is to improve app stickiness, drive feature adoption, and increase daily and weekly usage by shaping intuitive user journeys and habit-forming experiences.This is a highly cross-functional role that works closely with Product, UX/UI Design, Analytics, and CRM teams to translate user insights into scalable engagement loops and long-term retention strategies.

What you'll Champion:

Strategy & Product Influence

  • Own the engagement roadmap focused on improving core stickiness metrics such as DAU/MAU, session frequency, and feature adoption.
  • Partner closely with Product and UX/UI teams to conceptualise and influence new features, design loops, and experience enhancements that drive habitual usage.
  • Diagnose user drop-offs by analysing behavioral data and user feedback, and translate insights into actionable product and UX improvements.
  • Own the end-to-end new user onboarding strategy, ensuring users reach their primary activation or Aha! moment quickly and consistently.

Lifecycle & Engagement Communication Strategy

  • Define the strategic content and segmentation framework for non-monetary, value-led lifecycle communication (e.g., usage nudges, progress cues, feature discovery, and reminders).
  • Collaborate with the CRM team by handing off clearly defined engagement strategies, messaging logic, and segmentation for execution and QA.

Analytics & Experimentation

  • Own and track key engagement health metrics including DAU/MAU ratio, feature adoption rate, retention curves, and session frequency.
  • Design and evaluate A/B experiments focused on improving engagement, activation, and retention, with learnings feeding back into the product road map.

What is needed for this role

  • 4–6+ years of experience in Product Management, Growth, Lifecycle, or Engagement roles, with a strong focus on retention and product stickiness in a consumer app.
  • Strong product intuition with the ability to influence UX/UI and product roadmap decisions through data and user insight.
  • Hands-on experience with product analytics tools such as Amplitude, Mixpanel, Firebase, or similar.
  • Advanced understanding of cohort analysis, retention curves, feature adoption metrics, and session-level behavior.
  • Ability to convert qualitative user insights into clear, measurable product and engagement requirements.

Proven experience collaborating cross-functionally with Product, Engineering, UX/UI Design, and CRM teams.
