About the Role
The
Associate Relationship Manager Group Business is a key position within the
Rural Banking function of
Retail Banking , focused on deepening customer relationships and delivering high-quality service to rural clients. The role supports the Relationship Manager in identifying prospective customers and converting them into business opportunities. It involves forming and managing
Joint Liability Groups (JLGs) through their entire lifecyclefrom formation to disbursal and collection. The incumbent is responsible for driving client acquisition, building household-level relationships, and contributing to community development initiatives, while ensuring compliance and operational excellence.
Key Responsibilities
Primary Responsibilities
- Conduct zoning activities to map household needs in assigned villages and areas.
- Create and manage Joint Liability Groups and centres through formation, disbursal, and collection phases.
- Perform end-user checks post loan disbursal and meet monthly and annual group loan booking targets.
- Assess client needs and generate new revenue streams through cross-selling based on lifestyle, risk profile, and financial requirements.
- Achieve individual and branch sales goals through new business acquisition, referrals, and account retention.
- Maintain high collection efficiency through disciplined follow-ups and engagement.
- Ensure accurate documentation for loans accounts.
- Coordinate with operations officers for timely and accurate data entry.
- Ensure full compliance with bank policies and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct field audits and customer verifications to maintain account quality.
- Gather market intelligence and benchmark against competitor practices.
Secondary Responsibilities
- Recommend process improvements to enhance service efficiency and quality across the branch network.
- Support implementation of livelihood advancement and community development initiatives.
What We Are Looking For
Education
- Graduate in any discipline.
Experience
- Minimum 1 years of relevant experience in JLG product or related fields.
