Role/ Job Title: Associate Relationship Manager – Domestic Financial Institution Group

Business Unit: Wholesale Banking

Job Purpose:

Manage and develop DFIG client relationships within the Insurance segment, covering both Private and Public Sector Insurance companies, including LIC, with a strong focus on Current Account acquisition and growth.

Roles & Responsibilities:

  • Drive acquisition of NTB (New-to-Bank) Insurance clients, track account onboarding status end-to-end, and focus on building float and increasing Current Account balances across the segment.
  • Prepare credit proposal notes and credit assessments and interface closely with the Risk team for sanctioning and monitoring fund-based and non-fund-based facilities, including Bond FRA and Subordinated Debt structures.
  • Liaise with Risk, Legal, and Operations teams for proposal vetting, documentation, and execution to ensure seamless transaction delivery, addressing and resolving exceptions promptly.
  • Oversee account lifecycle management, including account opening, addition/change of signatories, account modifications, and closures, ensuring quick turnaround and issue resolution.
  • Develop and sustain strategic senior-level relationships with key stakeholders within Insurance companies to deepen IDFC FIRST Bank's penetration and brand equity across FIG clients.
  • Ensure consistent revenue generation and achievement of annual budgeted targets, both overall and at a product level, within the Insurance portfolio.
  • Proactively identify opportunities to expand share of wallet by cross-selling and up-selling relevant banking products and solutions.

Offer comprehensive financial solutions to Insurance clients, including:

  • Cash Management Services
  • Forex and Remittance Solutions
  • Salary Accounts
  • Fixed Deposits
  • Bond FRA/ Forwards and related structured products
  • Ensure timely renewal of MOUs and credit notes, track competition offerings, and implement best practices to maintain competitiveness.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to monitor transaction execution, manage operational exceptions, and ensure superior client service delivery.
  • Generate leads for individual Savings Bank accounts of senior management from Insurance clients and facilitate conversion into Retail and Wealth relationships, in collaboration with branch and wealth teams.

Educational Qualification:

Graduate: Any graduation

Post Graduate: Any post graduation

Experience: 2-5 years of relevant work experience in handling domestic FIG
