Role/ Job Title: Associate Relationship Manager Commercial Banking

Function/ Department: Commercial Banking

Job Purpose

Support the Relationship Manager in acquiring and activating clients, driving book growth and fee income, and crossselling transaction banking products (CMS, Trade Services) and treasury/FX solutions, while ensuring flawless execution, documentation, and risk/compliance hygiene across the portfolio. Coordinate with product, credit, legal, and operations teams to deliver timely solutions, superior client service, and robust MIS/reporting.

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Client Support
  • Assist in preparing client proposals, credit appraisals, and documentation.
  • Act as a secondary point of contact for clients, ensuring timely responses to queries.
  • Revenue Generation:
  • Pro-actively assist RMs in meeting balance sheet numbers and income targets from interest and fee-based products.
  • Track opportunity pipelines; and account activation (utilization, first drawdown, wallet rampup)
  • Operational Efficiency:
  • Ensure smooth execution of transactions, including disbursements, amendments, etc.
  • Coordinate with internal teams to resolve operational bottlenecks.
  • Risk and Data Management:
  • Complete CAM preparation for NTB as well as for ETB renewals and covenant monitoring for existing contracts
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date client records, including financial statements and transaction history.
  • Generate reports for RM and management review.
  • Cross-Selling Support:
  • Identify opportunities for cross-selling products like treasury services, cash management services, forex services, etc.
  • Support RM in achieving cross-sell targets
  • Maintain CRM hygienelog interactions, update opportunities/next actions, and ensure periodic reviews are current
  • Prepare meeting notes/minutes and action trackers; follow through to closure.
  • Support audits/compliance reviews; close observations within timelines.
  • Curate sector/competitor intel and pricing benchmarks; contribute to campaigns/AOP inputs.
  • Provide backup coverage for RM during leave/travel to ensure service continuity.

Education Qualification

Graduation: Any graduate

Post-graduation: Any post- graduate

Experience: 2 to 5 years of relevant experience
