Job Description

GIC is one of the world's largest sovereign wealth funds. With over 2,000 employees across 11 locations around the world, we invest in more than 40 countries globally across asset classes and businesses. Working at GIC gives you exposure to an extraordinary network of the world's industry leaders. As a leading global long-term investor, we work at the Point of Impact for Singapore's financial future, and the communities we invest in worldwide.

GIC Real Estate

We were an early entrant among institutional investors in real estate including traditional private real estate (brick-and-mortar assets), public equities, real estate investment trusts, and real estate-related debt instruments.

GIC Business Management & Operations

Join a small, high-impact team that is key to how GIC's Real Estate business runs, measures itself and makes decisions. RE Business Management & Operations partners closely with investment, finance & operations, technology and data teams to build the platforms, data and reporting that power one of the world's largest real estate investment portfolios. This role offers hands-on exposure to the full RE business, direct interaction with multiple stakeholders, and the chance to assist in shaping how data, digitalisation and AI are applied across the franchise.

Responsibilities:

  • Partner with RE colleagues and other departments including the Information & Insights Group, Global Investment Services and Technology Group to improve and digitalise processes across the Real Estate business vertical, working at the intersection of real estate, data and technology.
  • As representative data owner for RE, contribute towards the identification, design, collection and quality control of data that is critical for RE's analytics needs.
  • Engage internal RE stakeholders to gather user stories and requirements, and co-create platform enhancements across areas such as investment governance, risk management and due diligence and post-investment monitoring and reporting.
  • Act as a conduit between business users and developers on RE platforms, writing user stories, planning test scenarios, coordinating UAT and tracking defects to resolution.
  • Maintain documentation, operational guidelines and training content for owned workstreams, and escalate risk areas or delivery issues to project sponsors and team leads in a timely manner.
  • Champion the use of AI tools in daily tasks to drive demonstrable productivity and efficiency improvements and contribute to team playbooks and responsibilities.
  • Provide flexible support across RE BMO's priorities as the team's book of work evolves, taking on new workstreams where analytical, process-design or reporting skills are needed.

Requirements:

  • Minimum 3 years working experience and good academic qualifications in relevant fields (e.g., Finance, Business Analytics, Real Estate, Computer Science or Information Systems).
  • Experience in process design, workflow implementation, business analysis, reporting or data analytics — preferably within a financial institution.
  • Good data management background and demonstrable experience handling large datasets.
  • Practical experience using AI tools.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and SQL is a must, while knowledge in programming or data visualization tools such as Python, Tableau, Power BI or Databricks would be an advantage.
  • Ability to conceptualize ideas, formulate tactical plans, and execute to agreed timelines.
  • Able to communicate effectively with business users and developers, and articulate ideas and solutions clearly to stakeholders at all levels.
  • Resourceful and able to work independently in a fast-paced environment.
  • Strong learning agility and desire to learn; comfortable acquiring new skills, tools and domain knowledge to support the team's evolving book of work.
