Associate Quality Engineer

About the Role

Capgemini is seeking skilled and detailoriented Japanese Bilingual QA Testerswith a strong background in manual testing. The ideal candidate should have handson experience with functional testing, solid understanding of SDLC/STLC, and strong analytical skills. Experience in the insurance domain is an advantage .

Key Responsibilities

Analyse business requirements and functional specifications.
Design, develop, and execute detailed test cases and test scenarios.
PerformSprint, Regression, Integration, System, and SIT testing.
Validate endtoend insurance workflows
(Quote Bind Issue Endorsement Renewal Claims).
Identify, log, track, and retest defects using defect management tools.
Collaborate closely with BAs, Developers, PMs, Product Owners, and Test Teams.
Support UATactivities and assist business users as needed.
Create/manage test data for various testing phases including UAT.
Provide Sprintwise effort estimationsin Jira.

Required Skills

3 years of experience in Manual Functional Testing.
Experience with Batch Testing& backend job validation.
Strong knowledge of SDLC & STLC.
Proficiency in writing and executing test cases & scenarios.
Experience with tools such as JIRA,Azure DevOps, or similar.
Basic Javaknowledge to run/support automation scripts.
Ability to create/manage test data for different testing needs.
BasicSQLskills for data manipulation and validation.
Excellent analytical and communication abilities.

Nice-to-Have Skills

Insurance domain experience
(Policy Administration, Claims, Billing).
Exposure to automation tools (e.g., Selenium).
API Testing experience (Postman, REST).
Understanding of Non-functional testing
(Performance, Recovery, Security).
Experience in testing scheduled jobs and batch processes.

Language Skills

Japanese JLPT N3 or N2 certification is mandatory.
Strong business-level English communication.
