Associate Quality Assurance Engineer(Networking/Cybersecurity/VDI - Domain)

Job Description

We are looking for a detail-oriented and analytical Associate QA Engineer with hands-on experience in Manual Testing, test case design, defect management, troubleshooting, and enterprise application testing. The ideal candidate should have a good understanding of networking, virtualization, server environments, and software QA processes.

Key Responsibilities

Understand business and technical requirements and prepare end-to-end test scenarios and test cases. Execute functional, regression, integration, system, and exploratory testing.

Identify, document, prioritize, track, and close defects. Set up and maintain test environments involving Active Directory (AD), DNS, DHCP, and LDAP. perform testing of Web Services/APIs, client-server applications, desktop applications, and mobile applications. Prepare test reports, QA metrics, defect reports, and testing documentation. Collaborate with Development, Product, and other teams for issue resolution and product releases. Perform troubleshooting of application, networking, configuration, and test-environment issues. Ensure adequate test coverage and contribute to improving QA processes and methodologies.

Mandatory Skills

Strong understanding of Manual Testing and QA methodologies.

Hands-on experience in test case design, execution, and test case management.

Experience in defect management, prioritization, and tracking.

Familiarity with test management and defect tracking tools.

Strong analytical, troubleshooting, and problem-solving skills.

Good understanding of OSI layers, Routing/Switching, DNS, DHCP, and Firewalls OR VMware/Hyper-V.

Basic understanding of PKI, Ciphers, Digital Certificates, and certificate-based authentication.

Good verbal and written communication skills with effective reporting abilities.

Good to Have

Experience with VMware, Citrix, Nutanix, or Microsoft Hyper-V.

Knowledge of Automation Testing and test automation frameworks.

Exposure to JMeter or other performance testing tools.

Customer support or customer-facing experience.

Experience with product/build release activities.

Exposure to Kubernetes and Container technologies.

Experience & Qualification

Experience: 1+ years of relevant experience in QA/Software Testing, preferably in networking, virtualization, server environments, or enterprise products.

Qualification: BCA / MCA / BE / B.Tech, preferably in Computer Science or Information Technology.
