About the Trust

The Jaigarh Public Charitable Trust plays a key role in preserving the artistic, historical, and cultural traditions of Jaipur while facilitating public access, education, and appreciation of the rich legacy of the region. With a multidisciplinary team working across collections, outreach, conservation, education, and events, the Trust's vision is to be the globally recognised creative and cultural heart of Jaipur.

Position Overview

We are seeking a skilled Architect well-versed in 2D and 3D software and proficient in design and architectural thinking. The role involves making drawings, 3D views of various projects including GFCs and documentation (as required), reports, site supervision, making BoQs, dealing with vendors, and maintaining high standards of quality control, all while working with the unique challenges of heritage structures. Experience/interest in working with heritage buildings is an added advantage.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical and Drafting

● Prepare accurate technical drawings and 3D visualizations using AutoCAD, SketchUp, and V-Ray. (or any similar software) ● Ensure proper integration of architectural, structural, and MEP (Electrical, HVAC, Plumbing, ELV) drawings.

Site Supervision and Quality Control

● Site supervision as required. ● Supervise contractors, craftsmen, and labor teams to maintain safety and quality standards. ● Monitor and ensure conservation-sensitive practices, particularly in lime, stone, and traditional materials.

Qualifications and Experience

● Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Architecture (essential). ● Minimum 2 years of proven experience, preferably in heritage conservation, adaptive reuse, or museum/exhibition projects (essential). ● Willing to learn conservation techniques, including lime plaster, stone restoration, and sensitive retrofitting, and work from a heritage-sensitive outlook. ● Proficient in AutoCAD, MS Office (essential). ● Experience with SketchUp, V-Ray or any 3D software (preferred). ● Working knowledge of making working drawings, interior design, architectural design, and drawings (essential). ● Fluency in English and Hindi, both written and spoken (essential).
