Job Description

Job Summary:

The Associate Professor will be responsible for teaching, research, and mentoring undergraduate (B. Tech) students. This position requires a dynamic and experienced academic professional capable of delivering quality education and contributing to the continuous development of the department. The Associate Professor will collaborate with faculty to enhance curriculum, conduct research, and guide students in their academic and professional growth.

Teaching & Academic Duties

  • Deliver high-quality lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions for B.Tech students in subjects like C, C++, Java, Python, Data Structures, DBMS, TCS, MLOPS, Generative AI, Deep Learning, and Machine learning.
  • Design, develop, and update curriculum in alignment with industry trends, NEP guidelines, UGC/AICTE norms, and global academic standards.
  • Evaluate student performance through examinations, assignments, projects, and practical assessments.
  • Employ innovative teaching methodologies, including project-based learning, experiential learning, blended learning, and use of AI-enabled educational tools.
  • Mentor and advise students on academic and career-related matters.
  • Supervise Ph.D student, undergraduate student in their projects and internships.

Research & Scholarly Activities

  • Conduct independent and collaborative research in AI and future technologies, leading to publications in reputed peer-reviewed journals, conferences, and patents.
  • Publish research papers in reputed journals and conferences.
  • Supervise Ph.D and undergraduate research scholars.
  • Secure research grants, funding, and industry-sponsored projects from national and international agencies
  • Collaborate with industry and research institutions.

Industry Engagement & Innovation

  • Establish and strengthen industry linkages for internships, live projects, consultancy, joint research, and technology transfer.
  • Contribute to innovation, startups, incubation, and entrepreneurship initiatives within the School and University.
  • Support development of Centers of Excellence, AI labs, and emerging technology hubs.

Curriculum Development & Accreditation

  • Assist in curriculum design, revision, and outcome-based education (OBE) implementation.
  • Contribute to accreditation processes (AICTE, NBA, NAAC, etc.).
  • Develop innovative teaching methods, including use of ICT and e-learning tools.

Institutional & Administrative Responsibilities

  • Support Deans, HoDs, and School leadership in strategic initiatives and quality assurance processes.
  • Assist in admissions, examinations, academic audits, and student activities.
  • Engage in faculty development programs, workshops, and training.
  • Contribute to outreach, consultancy, and industry–institute interaction.
  • Perform all other academic and administrative duties as assigned by the University from time to time.

Qualifications

Essential

  • A good academic record, with a Ph.D. Degree in Computer Science and Engineering, Computer Engineering/Information Technology.
  • A Master's Degree with at least 55% marks (or an equivalent grade in a point-scale, wherever the grading system is followed) in computer science and engineering, Computer Engineering/Information Technology.
  • Teaching or research experience in a reputed institution minimum of 8 years in the position of Assistant Professor
  • Post PhD experience of min 3 years on post of assistant professor.
  • Minimum Seven Research papers in Scopus and SCI-Indexed Journals
  • Industry experience relevant to the discipline will be an advantage.
