Role: Associate Professor - Psychiatry (Primary title: Associate Professor - Psychiatry)
Role & Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality clinical care across outpatient, inpatient, and emergency psychiatry services, including diagnostic assessment and evidence-based management.
- Design and deliver postgraduate and undergraduate teaching sessions, including lectures, bedside teaching, and structured tutorials.
- Supervise and mentor residents, interns, and junior faculty; lead case-based discussions, assessments, and competency evaluations.
- Lead and participate in clinical research projects, contribute to publications, and support grant applications and ethical approvals.
- Manage department-level activities: curriculum development, quality improvement, clinical governance, and protocol development for psychiatric services.
- Engage in multidisciplinary collaboration with neurology, pediatrics, internal medicine, and allied mental health teams; support community outreach and telepsychiatry initiatives.

Qualifications
- MD/DNB in Psychiatry or equivalent postgraduate qualification.
- Current registration with an Indian medical council (National/State medical council).
- Proven record of postgraduate teaching, resident supervision, and academic leadership in a tertiary-care setting.
- Track record of clinical research, peer-reviewed publications, or involvement in funded studies.
