Roles And Responsibilities Of An Associate Professor (Pharmacy)

Teaching and Academic Duties
Deliver lectures and practical sessions in subjects related to pharmaceutical sciences.
Develop and update course materials, lesson plans, and curricula in line with current advancements.
Guide undergraduate and postgraduate students in academic projects and dissertations.
Conduct assessments, examinations, and evaluate student performance.
Mentor students for academic and career development.
Research and Scholarly Activities
Conduct independent and collaborative research in specialized areas of pharmacy.
Publish research papers in reputed national and international journals.
Apply for research grants and funding from government or private agencies.
Present research findings at conferences, seminars, and workshops.
Supervise Ph.D. and M.Pharm research scholars.
Administrative Responsibilities
Participate in departmental and institutional committees.
Assist in accreditation processes and compliance with regulatory bodies (e.g., PCI, AICTE).
Contribute to academic planning, timetable scheduling, and institutional development.
Organize seminars, conferences, and continuing education programs.
Professional Development
Stay updated with recent developments in pharmaceutical sciences and teaching methodologies.
Attend faculty development programs, workshops, and training sessions.
Engage with professional bodies and organizations in the field of pharmacy.
Industry and Community Engagement
Collaborate with pharmaceutical industries for research and training opportunities.
Provide consultancy services when required.
Participate in community outreach programs such as health awareness camps and drug safety education.
