Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Professor of Computer Science based in the Mohali district. The Associate Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate computer science courses, including lectures, labs, tutorials, and project guidance. Responsibilities include developing and updating curricula to reflect current trends in areas such as data science, cybersecurity, and programming, as well as assessing student performance through assignments, exams, and research projects. The role involves mentoring students, supervising academic and industry-focused projects, contributing to research and publications, and collaborating with colleagues to integrate CTPL's digital solutions into teaching and learning. The Associate Professor will also participate in academic committees, accreditation activities, and community outreach to strengthen the institution's academic reputation.

Qualifications

• Strong foundation in core Computer Science concepts, including algorithms, data structures, operating systems, and software engineering.
• Expertise in Programming (e.g., Python, Java, C/C++, or similar languages) and practical experience with modern development tools and practices.
• Knowledge of Data Science methodologies, such as data analysis, machine learning, and statistics, with the ability to integrate these topics into coursework.
• Applied understanding of Cybersecurity principles, including network security, application security, and risk management.
• Experience in Curriculum Development, including designing course syllabi, learning outcomes, assessment methods, and tech-enabled learning resources.
• Advanced degree in Computer Science or a closely related field (Ph.D. preferred; master's with significant academic or industry experience may be considered).
• Demonstrated teaching experience at the university level with evidence of effective pedagogy and student engagement.
• Track record or strong potential in academic research, publications, or applied projects in relevant computer science domains.
• Excellent communication, presentation, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively in an academic and EdTech-driven environment.
