Associate Professor, MLT

Position: Associate Professor – Medical Laboratory Technology (MLT)

Institute: Apollo Institute of Hospital Management and Allied Sciences (AIHMAS)

Role Summary:

Deliver high-quality theoretical and practical instruction in Medical Laboratory Technology, guide student clinical/lab training, and contribute to curriculum development and academic administration within the Allied Health Sciences department.

Key Responsibilities:

• Teach undergraduate/postgraduate MLT courses (clinical biochemistry, microbiology, hematology, histopathology, etc.)
• Supervise laboratory sessions and student clinical postings/internships
• Develop and update curriculum in line with regulatory (NCAHP/State Council) and accreditation standards
• Mentor students; guide research/academic projects
• Support departmental assessments, exam evaluation, and academic audits
• Contribute to institutional accreditation (NAAC/NABH-linked) documentation as needed
• Participate in faculty development and continuing education activities

Qualifications:

• Ph.D. in Medical Laboratory Technology / Clinical Laboratory Sciences (or equivalent) — mandatory
• Minimum 5 years of teaching/clinical experience post-Ph.D.
• Prior academic teaching experience in an allied health sciences program preferred
