Role & Responsibilities
- Lead clinical consultations, prenatal/postnatal care, and high-risk pregnancy management for diverse patient demographics across outpatient and inpatient settings.
- Perform complex gynecological surgeries including laparoscopic, hysteroscopic, and oncological procedures with adherence to safety and outcome benchmarks.
- Supervise residents, junior faculty, and nursing staff — providing real-time clinical mentorship and evaluating performance against hospital protocols.
- Collaborate with radiology, pathology, and neonatology departments to ensure coordinated, multi-disciplinary patient care pathways.
- Drive quality initiatives — audit clinical outcomes, reduce infection rates, and implement national guidelines (like FOGSI, NHP) into daily practice.
- Contribute to research, publish in peer-reviewed journals, and participate in CMEs and grand rounds to maintain cutting-edge clinical relevance.
Skills & Qualifications
Must-Have
- DNB/MD/DM in Obstetrics & Gynecology
- Laparoscopy certification
- Hysteroscopy certification
- High-risk pregnancy management
- Operative gynecology
- FOGSI guidelines
- NHP compliance
- MRCOG (if applicable)
Preferred
- Experience in teaching hospitals or medical colleges
- Publications in Indian Journal of Obstetrics and Gynecology
- Membership in AOGD or FOGSI
