Role Description This is a full-time, on-site role for an Associate Professor in Electrical and Electronics Engineering located in Bangalore Rural at the REVA University campus. The Associate Professor will design and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate courses in Electrical and Electronics Engineering, including lectures, tutorials, and laboratory sessions. Responsibilities include supervising student projects, guiding internships, mentoring learners, and contributing to curriculum development and continuous improvement of academic programs. The role involves conducting high-quality research, publishing in peer-reviewed journals and conferences, obtaining research funding, and collaborating with industry and academic partners. The Associate Professor will also participate in departmental and university committees, accreditation activities, outreach, and other academic and administrative duties as assigned.
Qualifications
  • Strong academic background and teaching expertise in Electrical Engineering and Electrical and Electronics Engineering.
  • Subject-matter proficiency in Power Systems and related sub-domains such as power electronics, drives, and energy systems.
  • Knowledge and teaching or research experience in Computer Science–related areas relevant to EEE, such as embedded systems, IoT, or control systems.
  • Exposure to Robotics, automation, or intelligent systems, with the ability to integrate these topics into teaching and project work.
  • Demonstrated research capabilities, including a record of publications, guiding student research, and pursuing funded projects.
  • Ph.D. in Electrical and Electronics Engineering or a closely related discipline from a recognized institution (required or near completion as per regulatory norms).
  • Prior experience as Assistant Professor or equivalent in a reputed university or institute, with a strong teaching and mentoring record.
  • Familiarity with outcome-based education, accreditation processes (e.g., NBA/NAAC), and modern pedagogical practices.
  • Excellent communication skills, ability to work collaboratively in a multidisciplinary environment, and commitment to inclusive, learner-centered education.
