Key Responsibilities Academic Leadership
- Provide academic leadership in teaching and research within Finance and Accounting.
- Foster a culture of scholarly excellence, innovation, and collaboration.
- Represent the University at national and international academic and professional forums.
- Contribute to accreditation and quality assurance activities, including AACSB and EQUIS initiatives.
- Develop strategic partnerships with industry, government bodies, and academic institutions.
- Participate actively in departmental governance, administration, and operational management.
- Mentor and support the development of junior and early-career academic staff.
Teaching and Curriculum Development
- Design, coordinate, and deliver undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Finance and Accounting.
- Lead curriculum development, programme enhancement, and contextualisation initiatives.
- Support programme accreditation and quality assurance requirements.
- Deliver high-quality, student-focused teaching and learning experiences.
- Promote innovative teaching practices that enhance student engagement, employability, and transferable skills.
- Create an inclusive and supportive learning environment that encourages academic excellence.
Research and Scholarship
- Maintain an active programme of high-quality research and publication in internationally recognised peer-reviewed journals.
- Lead and contribute to research projects with national and international impact.
- Pursue external research funding opportunities where appropriate.
- Support interdisciplinary research collaborations across the University.
- Integrate research excellence into teaching and curriculum development.
- Supervise doctoral, postgraduate, and undergraduate research projects while ensuring high standards of academic integrity and rigor.

Experience
Essential
- Significant academic experience with substantial teaching and module design achievements in Finance and Accounting.
- Proven academic leadership experience, including programme coordination, curriculum design, or related responsibilities.
Desirable
- Experience contributing to research excellence and scholarly leadership.
- Experience supervising doctoral students and research candidates.
Qualifications
Essential
- PhD in Finance, Accounting, or a closely related discipline from a recognised institution.
- Strong publication record in highly ranked international peer-reviewed journals.
Desirable
- Teaching qualification, Fellowship of the Higher Education Academy (HEA), or willingness to obtain one.
- Experience in securing externally funded research grants and projects.
