Job Description

Associate Product Manager

The Role

We are looking for a sharp, execution-focused Product leader to own our Health plan Benefit Management System a critical platform that powers how health plans define, configure, and deliver benefit information across products and channels.

This is not a role for someone who likes to stay at 30,000 feet. You will be deep in the details data models, schema changes, interface contracts while simultaneously keeping an eye on the bigger picture: what does this mean for our clients, our roadmap, and our business You will be the connective tissue between our engineering teams, business clients, and internal stakeholders, driving clarity, accountability, and delivery.

What You Will Own

  • Product Solutioning Define, prioritize, and drive the roadmap for the Plan Benefit Management System. Translate complex business rules and healthcare benefit configurations into well-scoped, actionable product requirements.
  • Stakeholder Representation Confidently represent the team in meetings with internal stakeholders and business owners. You are the voice of the product in every room you walk into.
  • Cross-Team Dependency Management Proactively identify, track, and resolve dependencies across engineering, QA, data, and client success teams to keep delivery on track.
  • Release Coordination & Change Management Own end-to-end release planning for data, schema, and interface updates. Work closely with the technical team and business clients to ensure changes are communicated clearly, sequenced correctly, and adopted smoothly.
  • Clarity and Ownership Write crisp, unambiguous specs. Hold the team and yourself accountable to well-defined outcomes. Push back on vague requirements and hand-wavy solutions.

What We Are Looking For

Technical Fluency

You are comfortable in conversations about data , API , schema design, and system integrations. You do not need to write the code, but you understand what is being built, ask the right questions, and know when something is being oversimplified.

Detail-Oriented but Strategic

You can zoom into a broken data mapping or a schema conflict, troubleshoot it with the engineering team, and then zoom back out to explain what it means for a client's enrollment cycle or a company-level product milestone. You hold both lenses simultaneously.

Builder Mentality

You have operated in an early-stage, fast-moving, or scaling environment where processes are still being built, priorities shift, and you are expected to figure things out not just execute a playbook.

Strong Communication & Influence

You can take a technically complex topic and make it crisp for a business audience. You can take an ambiguous business need and make it actionable for an engineering team. You earn trust through preparation, precision, and follow-through.

Requirements

  • 8-12 years of product management experience, with at least 2 years in a B2B software or data product environment
  • Demonstrated experience managing cross-functional teams and dependencies in a delivery-focused environment
  • Hands-on experience with release coordination, change management, or technical program management
  • Comfortable working with engineering teams on data models, schemas, APIs, and system integrations
  • Strong documentation and communication skills you write clearly and structure your thinking well
  • Experience working directly with external business clients or enterprise customers

Preferred Qualifications

  • Exposure to US healthcare health plans, benefits administration, EDI, HIPAA, or related domains
  • Familiarity with benefit configuration systems, plan setup workflows, or member/provider data platforms
  • Experience with Agile/Scrum delivery and tools like Azure Devops, Service Now
