We're building the future of hybrid work at peopleHum and we need an Associate PM who's obsessed with quality, accountability, and shipping great product. You'll report to the Head of Product, drive roadmap execution, spend serious time with customers, and own features end-to-end — from PRD to UAT to production. We're actively building in the AI and Agentic space, so a genuine curiosity for AI tools and workflows is non-negotiable.
W H A T Y O U L L D O
- Report to and collaborate with the Head of Product to develop strategies that expand peopleHum into new markets, positioning it as a leading HCM platform for the hybrid work model.
- Drive roadmap execution to rapidly expand the product suite and create sustainable product differentiation — moving fast without cutting quality corners.
- Spend a disproportionate amount of time with customers and prospects — informing product vision, co- innovating on solutions, and bringing the outside-in perspective to every roadmap decision.
- Define your features completely — write PRDs, specs, and user stories with full ownership of your modules. Engineers should be able to build from your documents without constant back-and-forth.
- Manage daily workflow with a team of engineers and designers, unblocking sprint ceremonies and enabling clear decision-making.
- Own UAT before every production release — write test cases, catch regressions and edge cases, and sign off on quality. You are the last line of defence before customers see the product. MUST HAVE
- Analyse the effectiveness of shipped features — track usage, identify failure points, and define iterative improvements to reduce drop-offs and increase adoption.
- Own every task assigned to you — follow through without reminders, communicate blockers early, and close the loop with stakeholders.
- Represent your team in communication with product, engineering, design, and marketing leadership — be a clear, structured voice for your squad.
Qualifications
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or equivalent practical experience.
- MBA is a plus, particularly if paired with strong technical depth.
Must have skills
- 1–3 years of product management experience in a B2B SaaS environment — you understand enterprise workflows, multi-stakeholder selling, and longer feedback cycles.
- A quality-obsessed mindset — you've personally run UATs, written test cases, and taken accountability for what ships to production.
- Passion for building delightful products with an eye for design — you have intuition for good user flows, UX detail, and can articulate what well-crafted means.
- Demonstrated accountability and ownership: you close tasks, not just open them. You flag risks early and follow up proactively.
- Strong prioritization instincts — you can triage a messy backlog, say no clearly, and explain tradeoffs to engineering and business stakeholders.
- Strong written and verbal communication skills with a talent for precise articulation of customer problems — vague specs are not acceptable.
- Technical fluency — ability to gain an in-depth understanding of software systems, work comfortably with engineers on architecture discussions, and make meaningful technical contributions.
- Hands-on experience using AI tools daily — Cursor, ChatGPT, Perplexity, Claude, Notion AI, or similar — and a genuine curiosity for how these tools work.
- Working understanding of LLM-based products — prompt design, RAG architectures, AI agents, and the failure modes unique to AI systems (hallucinations, latency, eval metrics).
Good to have skills
- Understanding of the HCM (human capital management) space and enterprise SaaS — highly desirable but not a blocker if everything else fits.
- Experience with tools like JIRA, Linear, Mixpanel, Amplitude, Figma, and Notion.
- Exposure to API-first or developer-facing B2B products.
- Basic SQL or data querying ability to self-serve on product analytics.
- Prior experience shipping features that included an AI or ML component.
