About the Role

NielsenIQ's Discover platform powers marketleading analytics for the world's top brands and retailers. As an Associate Platform Product Manager, you will help evolve the platform service layer that fuels these insights. You will work crossfunctionally with frontend product teams, engineering, and data platform stakeholders to transform complex business needs into scalable, performant services that connect Discover's user-facing capabilities with our underlying data systems.

This role is ideal for someone passionate about data platforms, APIdriven services, and enabling frictionless product experiences at scale.

Key Responsibilities

  • Convert frontend business needs into clear platformlevel requirements for data services capabilities.
  • Maintain and evolve the platform service roadmap aligned with Discover's strategic direction.
  • Participate in agile ceremonies to ensure welldefined requirements and smooth iteration planning.
  • Prioritize work across multiple programs, balancing urgency, technical complexity, and longterm scalability.
  • Collaborate with engineering leads to drive execution, manage risks, and ensure highquality releases.
  • Leverage analytics, performance metrics, and stakeholder feedback to identify optimization opportunities.

Qualifications

  • 3-5 years of experience in a product environment, preferably focused on data platforms or backend services.
  • Experience translating business objectives into technical requirements for scalable data service platforms.
  • Familiarity with large data ecosystems (Snowflake preferred), API design, and backend technologies such as Java and RESTful architectures.
  • Strong analytical and problemsolving skills, with the ability to interpret data and communicate effectively.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to work collaboratively with technical and nontechnical partners.
  • Experience working in agile, SAFE, or largescale crossprogram delivery environments is a strong plus.

Preferred Qualifications

  • FMCG or retail analytics domain knowledge.
  • Experience working across globally distributed teams.
  • Exposure to BI tools or reporting workflows.
