Associate Product Manager (APM) – (IIT/NIT/BITS)

About the Role
At Axestrack, we're building category-defining SaaS products in the logistics and mobility space. As an Associate Product Manager, you will work directly on live products used at scale, owning problem statements end-to-end—from identifying opportunities to shipping impactful features.
This is a high-ownership, high-ambiguity role designed for individuals who enjoy solving complex problems, thinking in systems, and building products from first principles.
We strongly prefer candidates from IITs, NITs, IIITs, BITS, and other Tier-1 engineering institutes with a demonstrated track record of analytical thinking and execution.
What You'll Do
- Own problem statements across the product lifecycle: discovery → definition → execution → iteration
- Work closely with engineering, design, and business teams to build and ship high-impact features
- Break down ambiguous problems into structured solutions and clear product requirements
- Use data, user insights, and first-principles thinking to drive product decisions
- Define success metrics and continuously optimize product performance
- Collaborate with leadership on product strategy and roadmap execution
What We're Looking For
- B.Tech / B.E. from Tier-1 institutes (IIT/NIT/IIIT/BITS preferred)
- 0–2 years of experience in Product / Business Analyst / Consulting / Tech roles
- Strong foundation in problem solving, analytical thinking, and structured reasoning
- Ability to break down complex problems and think in systems
- High ownership mindset with the ability to operate in fast-paced environments
- Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills
Strong Signals (Highly Preferred)
- Strong grasp of Data Structures & Algorithms / problem-solving frameworks
- Experience with hackathons, product competitions, or competitive programming
- Built side projects, MVPs, or 0→1 products
- Exposure to startups or high-growth environments
- Familiarity with SQL, product analytics, or data-driven decision making
- Understanding of SaaS products, APIs, or scalable systems
