Role Overview

The Associate, Procurement Operations plays a critical role in supporting Travel & Expense (T&E) administration, reporting, customer service, and approval workflows across the organization. The role also supports contract management, contract reporting, and spend analytics administration.

This position is ideal for a highly organized, detail-oriented professional who enjoys working with data, systems, and cross-functional teams and is eager to grow in a fast-paced, startup-style environment.

Level of Ownership & Support

  • Manage Travel & Expense customer service operations and approval workflows with guidance
  • Support the handling of out-of-policy travel transactions and escalate issues when required
  • Own the contract upload, tagging, and reporting processes
  • Ensure data accuracy, cleanliness, and proper categorization of spend data
  • Proactively learn systems and continuously improve data quality and process efficiency

Key Responsibilities

Travel & Expense Operations

  • Prepare department-level T&E reports on a monthly basis
  • Generate procurement-level insights on monthly travel and expense trends
  • Manage customer service inquiries through the Travel & Expense inbox
  • Review, approve, or delegate out-of-policy expense requests
  • Validate, clean, and maintain data within the Travel Management Platform

Contract Management

  • Upload executed contracts from the P2P system into the Contract Management Tool
  • Tag and categorize contracts accurately within the system
  • Validate contract metadata to ensure accuracy and system alignment
  • Maintain and track contract renewal and auto-renewal schedules on a monthly basis

Spend Analytics Support

  • Assist with monthly data cleansing from multiple ERPs into the Spend Analytics tool
  • Generate spend reports based on Procurement Category Manager requirements

Key Stakeholder Partnerships

Procurement Category Managers, Procurement Operations Senior Analyst, Finance, Legal, Accounts Payable.

Qualifications Required:

  • 13+ years of relevant experience in procurement, operations, finance, or related roles
  • Strong organizational, analytical, and communication skills
  • Comfort working with systems, tools, and spreadsheets

Preferred:

  • Proficiency in Excel or Google Sheets
  • Experience with Travel Management Platforms (e.g., Navan)
  • Experience with Contract Management Platforms
