Associate - Procurement NA

Avantor is looking for an associate for the Procurement team. This position involves monitoring of purchase orders in Avantor SAP system, ensure diligent follow up on open items and drive it for a closure within agreed service levels. Communicate with suppliers and internal departments of Avantor primarily via emails and phone calls on the order status and clarify any questions.

What we're looking for

Education: Bachelor's degree in any discipline.

Experience: 1 - 8 years with no constraint to night shift any can apply.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Knowledge or hands on experience in SAP, is preferred

• Attention to detail and a natural aptitude for numbers

• Excellent written and verbal communication skills and business acumen

• Customer-centric and a Go-Getter attitude

• Manage time and priorities - set timelines, coordinate tasks for yourself and with others

• Apply teamwork skills to a range of situations and ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels

How you will thrive and create an impact:

• Ensuring that all purchase order confirmations are processed on the sameday as received. This covers quantity, delivery date and pricing.

• Theprimary objective being a complete, accurate and timely set of confirmations in SAP for our customers and customer service. The secondary objective isto free time in the main procurement teams to carry out more effectiveexpediting and provide better response to immediate customer inquiries.

• Canceling open PO lines where we have no current demand or forecast.This includes contacting the supplier to cancel open order lines where thecustomer has canceled their order and we no longer need to have theseproducts come into our warehouses, in addition to updating the PO insystem SAP

• Additional research and data entry type processes will be added to theabove as we move forward.

• Must input individual confirmation data from fax, e-mail, paper mail, EDI fall-out and all remaining unacknowledged status lines in SAP. The confirmationscover all external deliveries into the North American network of warehousesand associated direct deliveries.
