Associate Principal - Architecture

Role Description

We are looking for a Salesforce Agentforce Technical Architect to design implement and govern AIpowered agent solutions on Salesforce This role is responsible for endtoend architecture across Agentforce Einstein capabilities Salesforce Platform and where applicable Data Cloud ensuring solutions are secure scalable compliant and measurable

You will lead technical strategy for agentic experiences across Service Sales Experience Cloud and custom apps including orchestration promptguardrail design toolaction frameworks integration patterns and observability

Key Responsibilities

1 Agentforce Solution Architecture EndtoEnd

Architect and lead implementations of Agentforcepowered agents for customer service sales support operations and internal productivity use cases

Define the agent capability map intents conversation flows handoffs to humans escalation routes and multichannel behavior console portal messaging etc

Design toolaction architecture for agents eg CRUD operations caseorder status knowledge search quote support using Salesforcenative services and external APIs

Establish patterns for agent routing context enrichment and state management session context customer context case context

2 AI Governance Trust Security Guardrails

Define and enforce AI guardrails

Allowed vs restricted actions

Data access boundaries FLSCRUDsharing

Sensitive data handling and redaction

Hallucination mitigation strategies and safefallback responses

Ensure compliance with enterprise security requirements

Identity access governance least privilege

Auditability and traceability of agent actions

Data retention and logging policies for AI interactions

Lead risk assessments for AI features including bias and privacy considerations

3 Data Knowledge Architecture for Agents

Architect the data foundation required for effective agent performance

Data model alignment across Salesforce objects

Knowledge architecture taxonomy article lifecycle search tuning

Context retrieval patterns grounding and data freshness strategies

If Data Cloud is in scope

Define ingestion harmonization identity resolution and segmentation needed to power agent context

4 Integrations Action Orchestration

Design integration patterns to enable agent actions across enterprise systems

ERPOrder systems billing shipping inventory identity productpricing etc

Define API strategy and governance

RESTGraphQLSOAP where relevant authentication OAuth Named Credentials

Error handling retries idempotency and compensation patterns for agenttriggered actions

Collaborate with middleware teams MuleSoft or equivalent for secure and scalable integration

5 Platform Engineering Leadership

Provide technical leadership across Salesforce development

Apex LWC Flow asynchronous processing patterns

Packaging strategy modularity performance tuning

Code reviews and architecture compliance checks

Establish standards for

Reusable components for agent UIs and assistive experiences

Environment strategy and CICD

Quality gates static analysis test automation release governance

6 Observability Metrics Continuous Improvement

Define instrumentation and monitoring for agent solutions

Agent success rate containment rate timetoresolution

Action successfailure rates API latency error budgets

User feedback loops and human override tracking

Lead continuous improvement

Promptflow refinements knowledge improvements and AB evaluation strategies

Regression controls to prevent performance degradation after updates

7 Stakeholder Management Delivery Ownership

Run architecturedesign workshops and act as Design Authority for Agentforce programs

Translate business goals into technical blueprints and implementation roadmaps

Partner with Product Owners Security LegalCompliance and Ops teams to ensure safe adoption and operational readiness

Required Skills Qualifications

1016 years of overall experience including 710 years on Salesforce

Strong Salesforce architecture experience across

Platform data model security automation

Service Cloud Sales Cloud Experience Cloud as applicable

Handson engineering leadership with

Apex LWC Flow async design QueueableBatchPlatform Events

Integration architecture and API governance

Strong understanding of AI solution design

Conversation flows groundingcontext strategies guardrails

Measuring quality and operational outcomes

Experience defining enterprisegrade security and compliance for digital solutions

Preferred Skills

Experience with Data Cloud data ingestionharmonizationidentity resolution and using unified profiles to enrich agent context
