Role Overview:
You will play a key role in supporting patent prosecution initiatives for global clients across cutting-edge technology domains, such as Artificial Intelligence / Machine Learning, Image Processing, Semiconductors & Electronic Devices, Communication Systems, Transactional & Authentication Systems, and Cloud Computing Systems. In this position, you will work closely with attorneys, inventors, and internal teams to protect innovations through effective patent prosecution strategies. You will contribute to safeguarding intellectual property by preparing high-quality responses, analysing prior art, and ensuring alignment with client requirements across jurisdictions including the US, India, and Europe.
Job Description:
- Handle patent prosecution matters for US, Indian, and European jurisdictions
- Analyse office actions and cited prior art to clearly distinguish inventions and draft technically sound and persuasive responses aligned with client expectations
- Coordinate with attorneys, inventors, and internal teams to gather technical inputs and ensure timely submissions
- Review technical disclosures and supporting documents to understand inventions and prosecution strategy requirements
- Manage multiple prosecution assignments simultaneously while maintaining accuracy, quality, and deadlines
- Collaborate with team members and contribute to a knowledge-sharing and quality-driven work environment
Desired Skillset:
- 12 years of hands-on experience in patent prosecution (US, IND, EP preferred)
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills [an absolute must]
- Strong analytical ability to interpret prior art and identify differentiating technical features
- Ability to quickly understand and grasp complex or emerging technologies
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Team-oriented mindset with the ability to collaborate effectively across functions
- Familiarity with patent procedures, office action practice, and prosecution workflows
Education / Experience:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in one of the following disciplines:
- Electronics & Communication Engineering (ECE)
- Electrical & Electronics Engineering (EEE)
- Computer Science Engineering (CSE)
- Information Science / Information Technology
- Professional experience: 12 years in patent prosecution
