To use correctly measuring instruments like varnier and micrometer gauge etc.
To select proper scraping tools for various types of bearings and do scraping and adjusting of bearings within specified limits. Should have proper knowledge of oil grooves and prepare them.
To carry out balancing of rotating parts and assemblies.
To do complete overhauling, adjustment, diagnosis of defects, repairs, installation and alignment of various equipments in the factory - in case of more complicated equipment under general guidance.
To carry out such other job and jobs incidental to all these work as required or as per the instructions of seniors.
To follow all the safety norms and to keep the working place clean.
To maintain tools in proper working conditions e.g. grinding of chisels and other like hand tools.
To dismantle assemble simple equipments, repair conveyor belt bucket elevator
To carry out simple work on equipment e.g. changing of gland packing, fitting new gaskets, replace flexible coupling bushing, transmission belt/chain replacement etc. or any equal work given by superior.
To carry out light fabrication work and non complicated marking as per sketch or drawing. To take inspection round on predetermined equipments, abnormality if found to be reported to superior.
To carry out PM activities, rectify abnormalities fill check lists of equipments
