We are looking for a passionate and dynamic experienced Nursing Professionals to join our team at Manipal Hospitals!

What You'll Do:

  • Initial Triaging of Patient : Ambulance/ ER bay: Patient identification and significant attendant. Checking of vitals , brief history of present complaints and color banding of patient , Documentation and safely mobilizing patient to the respective zone of criticality A/B/C, Ability to complete this in seconds 
  • Initial Nursing Assessment , Implementation of order and Documentation: - Monitor all vital parameters and document. Connect the monitor                                  
  •  - Assessment for Prosthesis, Glasses, Lenses, Hearing Aids, dentures, Pacemaker, Implants etc and documenting the same ,Care of patient belongings,History of allergies, 
  • - Placement of IV line , sample collection and starting correct IV fluid as per the doctor order
  • - Raising for lab orders , radiology investigations as per the doctors order , Dispatching the sample collected with correct labelling and within the TAT, Following up for reports and escalating to the DMO.
  • Initial Risk Assessment : Assess and document the Vulnerability , Fall , Pressure Ulcer, Aspiration risk
  • Nursing Documentation: Nursing Initial Assessment in ER, and Clinical Notes , Pre OP check list , procedural consent , MLC intimation and documentation register
  • Introduction to HIS: Importance of Password, Nursing modules for raising orders  ( lab and radiology ), Raising indents ( pharmacy and general consumables), Refund, Raising Bills for procedures
  • Infection control practices: Aware on hand hygiene, use of PPE (glove, mask, gown), universal precaution. Barrier nursing/contact isolation, negative pressure /possitive pressure isolation, Safe handling of sharps and Biomedical waste
  • Specific nursing procedures:- Preparing patient for various procedures e. g naso gastric tube insertion, assisting in intubation, placement of central line/ arterial line, tracheostomy, placement of ICD and postural drainage etc                                                                                                                   - Assissting for massive wound dressing,checking GRBS, catherterization, suctioning, nebulization, enema, ECG                                                                                                                               
  • Monitor, record & report any symptoms / changes in the patient condition to the doctors
  • Ensure patient safety by adhering to infection control protocol, medication administration and drug dilution and dosage calculation, storage procedure; and during emergencies   - Administration of vaccination and antidotes
  • Accompany the doctor on rounds:- provides update on patient condition and helps in clinical procedures.
  • Preparation of patient for various Procedure and with relevant consent
  • Pre-Operative preparation, USG, CT, MRI, FNAC, Biopsy, Nuclear Scan , Endoscopy
  • Ensure transfusion of Blood and Blood Products
  • Administration of Oxygen : Prongs, Mask, BIPAP,Responding to clinical emergency as per ACLS protocol
  • Taking Stock of inventory : Crash cart, High risk medicine, Fridge medicine, equipment, general consumables , linen inventory
  • Provide direct patient care - implement patient care plan as per doctor's recommendation; monitor & record vital parameters
  • Maintain continuity of patient care through documentation & communication during shift change
  • Responsible for consumables:- for the patients under her nursing care, accounting and indenting of consumables/ medicines & nursing supplies and ensuring the availability of the same.

What We Are Looking For:

  • B.Sc. Nursing/ GNM Nursing
  • Minimum of 1+ years of experience in the role of Nursing.
  • Strong communication skills, both oral and written.
  • Proven team leadership skills with the ability to work effectively in a highly collaborative team environment.
