Position Summary
Responsible for monitoring and troubleshooting of Client network equipment and ensure connectivity to CDK Data Centers. Skills in Network (LAN/WAN/VOICE) technologies. Troubleshoots network systems to eliminate problems and make improvements, should familiar with networking concepts, practices, and procedures. Uses experience and judgment to perform a wide variety of tasks, as well as plan and accomplish goals.
Primary Responsibilities
Creates case logs, record information, establish resolution time, follow up on issues, and escalate complex issues
Assesses issues and establish a course of action to guide the client/associate to timely resolution of inquiry
Troubleshoots network problems and implements corrective action
Maintain network performance by performing network monitoring and analysis, and performance troubleshooting network problems; escalating problems to vendors.
Practically applies knowledge of CDK case resolution process, policies, and escalation methodology
Provides other ad hoc support and duties as assigned
Works in an environment with competing priorities
Provide 24x7x365 rotational support of production systems and services
Document and improve the CDK Hosting IT knowledge management system
Qualifications
1-3 years of experience in a technical role preferably next gen WAN technology like SDWAN
Hands on experience in networking, routing and switching - Preferably on Cisco
Professional communication skills (written and verbal) - Mandatory
College degree in a technical field or equivalent work/industry related experience
Scripting knowledge - Python
Ability to work in a high-volume, complex, diverse environment to match a fast paced organization
Strong focus on supporting the business customers
Good understanding of networking/network concepts
Practical experience in a NOC/Managed Services environment
Industry certification like CCNA preferred
Monitoring tools - Solarwinds, ThoudandEyes, Zenoss
