About the Team

The Human Resources and People Strategy team at Navi manages the entire employee lifecycle, from talent acquisition and HR operations to employee engagement and development. They partner closely with both tech and non-tech business teams to design and implement strategies that attract, retain, and develop top talent, ensuring a thriving, high-performance organizational culture.

About the Role

As an Associate Manager - Talent Acquisition, you will work as an Associate Manager responsible for managing a recruitment team and delivering on critical hiring needs. The role requires overseeing end-to-end recruitment operations, resolving complex recruitment challenges, and acting as a trusted partner to business stakeholders. However, you may also work as an individual contributor responsible for delivering on critical hiring needs as and when required. Success in this role comes from a balance of leadership excellence, execution oversight, sharp business acumen, and the ability to communicate and collaborate effectively with candidates, team members, and senior leaders alike

Key Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership & Management: Lead, mentor, and manage a team of recruiters, setting clear targets, tracking performance, and driving accountability to achieve hiring goals.
  • Own and Oversee Recruitment Cycle: Oversee and drive end-to-end hiring operations —from defining job descriptions and sourcing strategies to conducting interviews, facilitating debriefs, and managing complex offer negotiations. Work as Individual contributor and drive outcomes as and when required
  • edAdvanced Sourcing & Pipeline Building: Guide and support the team in proactive, high-quality talent sourcing using job portals, LinkedIn, networking, referrals, and headhunting. Build robust talent pipelines for critical and future roles.
  • Stakeholder Management: Act as a trusted recruitment partner and consultant for business and functional leaders. Work closely with them to understand workforce needs, advise on strategic hiring, and ensure close alignment with business goals
  • Candidate Experience Leadership: Champion a seamless, transparent, and engaging experience for candidates, establishing best-in-class candidate interaction standards across the team
  • Recruitment Analytics & Reporting: Monitor team performance via ATS and recruitment trackers, generate comprehensive performance dashboards, and provide data-driven insights to leadership to improve team sourcing effectiveness and reduce Turnaround Time (TAT).
  • Market Intelligence: Stay deeply updated with industry talent trends, competitor hiring strategies, and compensation benchmarks to provide strategic data-driven insights to stakeholders.
  • Onboarding Oversight: Oversee pre-joining formalities, background verification, and ensure a smooth, seamless transition and onboarding experience for new hires.
  • Process Improvement & Capability Building: Standardize and enhance recruitment processes, employer branding, and candidate engagement initiatives. Formally coach and develop junior recruiters to build capability within the TA organization

Must Have

  • Education: Graduate or Master's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Applicant Tracking Systems (ATS), advanced sourcing strategies, recruitment analytics, and candidate data management.
  • Soft Skills: Exceptional communication and interpersonal skills, strong capability to build trusted relationships with senior stakeholders, a consultative and problem-solving approach, excellent organizational abilities, and a track record of managing multiple priorities.
  • Mindset: Proactive, leadership-oriented, and ownership-driven; data-informed and adaptable to changing business needs, with a high work ethic and eagerness to stay updated with evolving talent trends.
  • Experience: 3+ years of proven experience in managing end-to-end recruitment, with demonstrated experience in leading, coaching, or mentoring a recruitment team, ideally in high-growth environments such as startups, e-commerce, or BFSI.
