About The Role

Jajabor Brand Consultancy is seeking an Associate Manager - PR to lead client accounts, drive media strategy, and manage execution across multiple PR mandates. This is a client-facing role suited for professionals who combine strong media relationships with strategic thinking and team leadership.

The role requires ownership of accounts, the ability to translate client objectives into effective PR strategies, and hands-on guidance of junior team members in a fast-paced agency environment.

Key Responsibilities

Client & Account Management

  • Own day-to-day management of assigned PR accounts
  • Act as the primary point of contact for clients and ensure alignment on goals, deliverables, and timelines
  • Translate client briefs into clear PR strategies and execution plans

Media Strategy & Relations

  • Develop and execute media strategies across print, digital, and broadcast platforms
  • Drive proactive media pitching, story development, and journalist engagement
  • Maintain and strengthen relationships with key media stakeholders
  • Identify new storytelling opportunities and media angles for clients

Team Management & Mentorship

  • Manage, mentor, and review the work of PR Executives and Account Executives
  • Provide clear direction, feedback, and quality control across all outputs
  • Support team capacity planning and workload management

Campaign Planning & Execution

  • Plan and execute PR campaigns, product launches, announcements, and media events
  • Oversee content creation including press releases, pitches, briefs, and reports
  • Ensure consistent quality, accuracy, and brand alignment

Reporting & Performance Tracking

  • Oversee media monitoring and reporting
  • Analyse coverage quality, reach, and impact
  • Present insights and recommendations to clients and internal leadership

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Journalism, Mass Communication, Public Relations, or related fields
  • 35 years of experience in a PR agency or communications consultancy
  • Proven experience managing clients and leading PR campaigns
  • Established media relationships across relevant beats
