Role Objective

We are seeking a high-energy, result-oriented Associate Manager for Institutional Sales to join our growing Equities team. You will be responsible for managing and expanding our footprint among domestic and foreign institutional investors (DIIs/FIIs), including Mutual Funds, Insurance companies, and Hedge Funds. Your goal is to deliver actionable market insights and superior execution services to drive brokerage revenue.

Key Responsibilities

  • Relationship Management: Build and maintain strong rapport with Fund Managers and Buy-side Analysts to ensure our firm remains a top-of-mind partner for equity trades.
  • Sales Pitching: Daily communication of research reports, investment ideas, and market intelligence. You will translate complex research into concise, persuasive investment arguments.
  • Corporate Access: Organize and facilitate roadshows, management meetings, and site visits for institutional clients to bridge the gap between listed companies and investors.
  • Market Intelligence: Stay ahead of market trends, regulatory changes, and competitive activity to provide timely advice to clients.
  • Revenue Generation: Achieve monthly and quarterly brokerage targets through active client engagement and high-quality trade flow.
  • Cross-functional Collaboration: Work closely with the Equity Research team to refine sector themes and the Execution/Dealing desk to ensure seamless trade settlements.

Candidate Profile

Experience & Education

  • 2–5 years of experience in Institutional Sales, Equity Research, or Investment Banking.
  • MBA (Finance) from a premier institute, CA, or CFA Level 2/3 candidate.

Technical Skills

  • Deep understanding of Equity Markets, Financial Statements, and Valuation methodologies (DCF, Relative Valuation).
  • Proficiency with Bloomberg Terminal, Reuters, or similar financial databases.
  • Strong knowledge of SEBI regulations and institutional compliance norms.

Soft Skills

  • Persuasive Communication: Ability to articulate complex financial concepts clearly.
  • Networking: A natural ability to build relationships and navigate the institutional landscape.
  • Resilience: Thrives in a high-pressure, fast-paced trading floor environment.
