Position Overview

We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Associate Manager – Institutional Research Analyst to support our Institutional Equities Research team. The incumbent will be responsible for conducting in-depth fundamental research on listed companies and sectors, preparing insightful investment reports, building financial models, and assisting institutional clients with actionable investment recommendations. The role requires strong financial analysis skills, market understanding, and the ability to communicate investment ideas effectively.

Key Responsibilities

Research & Analysis

• Conduct detailed fundamental research on companies across assigned sectors.
• Analyze financial statements, earnings reports, management commentary, and industry trends.
• Develop and maintain comprehensive financial models, valuation models, and earnings forecasts.
• Prepare initiation, quarterly update, result review, thematic, and sector research reports.
• Evaluate investment opportunities through company visits, management interactions, conference calls, and industry channel checks.
• Monitor macroeconomic developments, sector trends, and regulatory changes impacting investment decisions.
  
  

Institutional Client Support

• Assist institutional investors, mutual funds, PMS, AIFs, FIIs, and insurance companies with research insights.
• Respond to client queries and provide timely research-based recommendations.
• Participate in client meetings, roadshows, conferences, and management interactions.
• Build and maintain strong relationships with institutional clients and corporate management teams.
  
  

Reporting & Documentation

• Publish high-quality research reports with investment recommendations and target prices.
• Present research findings to senior management and institutional clients.
• Maintain accurate records of research assumptions, forecasts, and valuations.
• Ensure compliance with regulatory and internal research policies.
  
  

Market Monitoring

• Track corporate announcements, earnings releases, industry developments, and market movements.
• Generate actionable investment ideas based on qualitative and quantitative research.
• Continuously review model portfolios and stock recommendations.
  
  

Eligibility Criteria

Educational Qualification

• MBA (Finance), CFA, CA, FRM, or equivalent qualification preferred.
• Bachelor's degree in Finance, Commerce, Economics, Accounting, or related discipline.
  
  

Work Experience

• 3 to 6 years of experience in Equity Research, Institutional Research, Investment Analysis, Capital Markets, or Stock Broking.
• Experience covering specific sectors and institutional clients will be preferred.
  
  

Required Skills & Competencies

• Strong understanding of Equity Markets and Capital Market operations.
• Expertise in Financial Statement Analysis and Valuation Techniques.
• Proficiency in DCF, Relative Valuation, Earnings Modelling, and Forecasting.
• Advanced knowledge of MS Excel, PowerPoint, Bloomberg, Reuters, Capital IQ, FactSet, or similar tools.
• Ability to interpret financial data and identify investment opportunities.
• Excellent report writing and presentation skills.
• Strong analytical, quantitative, and problem-solving abilities.
• Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
• High attention to detail and accuracy.
