Role Purpose:
The APM - Industry Engagement & Work Transitionator – plays a critical role in strengthening employability outcomes for learners by anchoring placement systems, employer engagement, alumni tracking, and data-driven decision-making. The role works closely with Industrial Training Institutes (ITIs), Polytechnics, Vocational Training Institutes (VTIs), implementation partners, employers, and internal teams to ensure high-quality placement support and robust monitoring and reporting practices.
This position combines strong on-ground coordination with analytical rigor, ensuring that placement and alumni insights inform program improvements and stakeholder decision-making. The role also contributes to building a strong data culture, reliable business-as-usual (BAU) operations, and alignment with Quest Alliance's organisational values, systems, and collaborative ways of working.
Key Responsibilities
- Placement & Alumni Engagement
- Provide end-to-end placement support to ITIs, Polytechnics, and VTIs.
- Plan, coordinate, and execute regional placement strategies, including employer engagement events and placement fairs.
- Build capacity of placement officers through trainings, orientations, demos, and regular review forums.
- Design and implement alumni tracking systems to understand post-program outcomes, learner aspirations, and impact, including focused engagement with Women ITIs.
- Monitoring, Evaluation & Reporting
- Ensure timely and accurate submission of monitoring data to the M&E focal point.
- Support baseline, endline, and other assessments; maintain updated student and institute data.
- Prepare simple monthly reports, progress updates, case studies, and success stories.
- Use appropriate M&E tools to track progress against work plans and implementation schedules.
- Collaboration & Organisational Alignment
- Work closely with regional and program teams to plan annual calendars and review progress.
- Participate actively in team and organisational forums, reviews, and planning spaces.
- Adhere to organisational policies, systems, and compliance requirements, while modeling professionalism, accountability, and Quest Alliance's core values.
Required Qualifications & Skills
- 5+ years of relevant experience in placements, employability programs, skilling initiatives, alumni engagement, or vocational education ecosystems.
- Prior experience working with ITIs, Polytechnics, VTIs, government institutions, or training partners is strongly preferred.
- Fluency in Kannada (spoken and written) is mandatory for effective engagement with institutes, trainers, students, and local stakeholders.
- Working knowledge of monitoring and evaluation (M&E) frameworks, tools, and data collection processes.
- High data accuracy, with the ability to manage student, institute, and placement databases.
- High ownership, reliability, and ability to manage BAU operations independently.
- Collaborative working style with the ability to engage constructively across teams and partners.
Salary: The pay band for the position starts at Rs. 60,000/- per month (cost to company) (
