The team oversees corporate governance, ensuring adherence to statutory obligations and facilitating effective board and shareholder engagements. The team proactively manages compliance risks across multiple regulated sectors, adapting to evolving regulatory landscapes.

About the Role

As a member of the Compliance Monitoring team at Navi, you will be the primary safeguard ensuring our products and core processes align with regulatory and internal standards. Your goal is to simplify complex regulations into clear, actionable monitoring plans and proactively identify gaps/streamline key processes. You will deep-dive into our systems to identify risks, track necessary improvements and ensure identified gaps are fully remediated.

What We Expect From You

• Conduct comprehensive compliance risk assessments to identify key testing areas to manage regulatory exposures across different business lines
• Design, implement and follow-up on automated monitoring alerts to track compliance health on a continuous basis
• Conduct thorough testing against regulations and internal compliance policies via process deep-dives/controls testing
• Perform design adequacy and operating effectiveness testing of controls and identify any gaps
• Performing root cause analysis (RCA) to identify underlying drivers for compliance gaps
• Collect and verify evidence of remediation to ensure that gaps are effectively closed
• Maintain and review documentation in the form of scoping memos, testing workpapers, review reports and Root Cause Analysis (RCA)
• Work closely with various business teams to align monitoring goals and maintain clear, proactive communication to ensure all compliance tasks are executed effectively
• Proven project management ability to handle multiple tasks and deadlines with high attention to detail
• Strong stakeholder management skills to influence and coordinate across various business functions

Must Haves

• An advanced degree in CA, CIA, MBA is preferred.
• 4+ years of post-qualification experience in the financial services sector in a testing, audit, compliance or risk advisory function
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with the ability to perform under pressure
• Effective interpersonal and people management skills to collaborate across teams
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with clarity and precision in presenting complex information
• Familiarity with SQL or data visualization tools (Tableau/PowerBI) for automated monitoring is a plus
