Position: Associate Manager - Engineering

Department: Engineering

Location: Bangalore, India

Position Overview:

Maintenance Operations:

• Plan, execute, and monitor preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities for equipment, machinery, utilities, and infrastructure.
• Ensure minimum machine downtime and timely resolution of breakdowns.
• Analyse recurring failures and implement root cause analysis (RCA) and corrective actions.
• Maintain maintenance schedules using CMMS / SAP / Maximo or similar systems.

Team Management:

• Lead, guide, and supervise maintenance engineers, technicians, and contractors.
• Allocate manpower effectively across shifts and maintenance tasks.
• Provide technical coaching, on-the-job training, and performance feedback to team members.
• Ensure adherence to attendance, discipline, and standard work practices.

Safety, Compliance & Quality:

• Ensure compliance with statutory regulations, safety standards, and company EHS policies.
• Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and permit-to-work processes.
• Support audits related to ISO, OHSAS, GMP, TPM, or other applicable certifications.
• Ensure accurate documentation, SOPs, maintenance logs, and checklists.

Cost & Resource Management:

• Monitor and control maintenance budgets, spares inventory, and consumables.
• Optimize spare parts planning and vendor management to reduce costs and lead times.
• Participate in AMC contracts, vendor evaluations, and negotiations.

Continuous Improvement:

• Drive TPM / Lean / Six Sigma initiatives to improve equipment efficiency (OEE).
• Implement reliability improvement projects and energy conservation initiatives.
• Support new equipment installation, commissioning, and capacity expansion projects.

Education:

• Diploma or Bachelor's degree in Mechanical/ Instrumentation/ Mechatronics/ Electrical.

Experience

• 8 - 10 Years Experience in maintenance activities from manufacturing sector, preferably process industries.

Languages

• English, Hindi, Kannada

Salary Budget

• Budget Up to 12 lakhs
