Responsibilities:

  • Ensure timely and accurate preparation and filing of all applicable tax returns (GST, TDS, corporate income tax, equalization levy, etc.)
  • Oversee monthly, quarterly, and annual tax compliance calendars.
  • Review tax computations, reconciliations, and related workings prepared by the team or consultants.
  • Monitor changes in tax legislation and assess impact on the organization.
  • Implement necessary changes to compliance processes.
  • Oversee the process of routine compliance hygiene checks and circulate the technical memoranda summarizing findings and recommendations to the Management.
  • Supervise and mentor tax staff, providing training and guidance on tax issues.
  • Coordinate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely filing of returns and tax reporting.
  • Ensure appropriate documentation is maintained to support tax positions and availment of credits/deductions
  • Communicate effectively and provide guidance to the team members in implementing the newer provisions notified by the Department.
  • Prepare and present consolidate reports to senior management on monthly tax compliances.
  • Implement checklists and controls to ensure accurate reporting of details in tax returns and ensure balances are duly reconciled with books in a timely manner.

Qualifications:

Education:

  • Qualified Chartered Accountant with 2-3 years of relevant experience in the field of taxation.
  • Strong understanding of tax regulations and compliance requirements.

Skills:

  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong attention to detail and organizational skills.
  • Proficient in tally and MS Office.
  • Ability to work under pressure and meet deadlines.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment.
