Actuarial Experience: 6+ years
Purpose of the role
- To check the results of legacy software and new software results provided in excel and/or result database.
- To work in the Actuarial Team engaged in migration of models for UK Life insurance.
- To Understand Customer needs and provide service as per company's operational standards, procedures.
- To deliver all services as per specified standards of Quality and Timeliness
- To oversee the day-to-day operation of the Team and performance
- Promote a healthy and motivating work environment and atmosphere.
- Identify training needs and provide coaching.
- Listen to team members feedback and resolve any issues or conflicts.
- To drive process improvements in the team
Key tasks and responsibilities
- Develop spreadsheet models right from the scratch for the models of the Legacy Software using VBA, SQL, DB Visualizer, Visual Studio, Microsoft Power Automate etc.
- Prepare the word specification of models of legacy software.
- Cross check cashflows of excel model developed to that of legacy software and match with the last figures.
- Identify the differences and amend the model to fix it.
- Perform Individual testing, Block testing & Portfolio testing.
- Document the entire process of modelling.
- Test Excel or MS access cashflows of new software with that of excel models and/or legacy software.
- Highlight the area of mismatch and discrepancy to the concerned team.
- Investigate and provide the resolution to the concerned team.
