Role Overview

We are seeking an experienced SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting (GR) Consultant to join our implementation team. The ideal candidate is a self-sufficient professional who can independently gather requirements from business stakeholders, design and configure GR solutions, and drive the full delivery lifecycle from blueprinting through go-live. This is a hands-on role requiring deep functional expertise in SAP Group Reporting and the ability to operate with minimal supervision.

Key Responsibilities

  • Independently lead the Group Reporting workstream, including direct engagement with business stakeholders to gather, analyze, and document consolidation requirements.
  • Configure and implement SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting end-to-end, covering all standard consolidation functions.
  • Design and configure cash flow reporting rules, reclassification rules, and related GR rule sets in line with business and statutory requirements.
  • Implement advanced consolidation scenarios including consolidation of investments, proportionate consolidation, and equity method accounting.
  • Prepare and maintain functional specifications, configuration documents, and test scripts for all GR deliverables.
  • Execute unit testing and support integration and user acceptance testing (UAT), working collaboratively with the broader project team.
  • Coordinate with other Finance workstream leads (FI, CO,Logistics) to ensure seamless integration of GR with upstream data flows.
  • Support cutover activities and post-go-live stabilization for the Group Reporting solution.
  • Troubleshoot configuration and data issues independently, leveraging SAP documentation, OSS notes, and standard resolution methods.

Required Qualifications

  • Minimum 2 completed SAP S/4HANA Group Reporting implementation projects in a hands-on configuration role.
  • Strong working knowledge of GR consolidation concepts: data collection and validation, intercompany elimination, reclassifications, currency translation, consolidation of investments (acquisition/divestiture), and proportionate consolidation.
  • Proven experience configuring cash flow reporting rules and reclassification rules within SAP Group Reporting.
  • Solid understanding of the GR data model, consolidation monitors, consolidation groups, and versioning.
  • Demonstrated ability to independently interface with business users and finance teams to translate requirements into technical solutions.
  • Experience with the full project lifecycle: blueprinting, realization, testing, deployment, and hypercare.
  • Ability to document requirements, prepare functional specifications, and create comprehensive test scripts without oversight.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with SAP S/4HANA Finance
  • Familiarity with integration points between Group Reporting and SAP modules such as FI, CO, Material Ledger, and Intercompany processes.
  • Prior experience with migration from legacy consolidation tools (EC-CS/ BPC) to S/4HANA Group Reporting.
