  • This is a senior technical role for an experienced landscape architect to lead the landscape production team, supporting UAE-based design teams across the post-concept design stages, from Detailed Design (DD) through to Tender and IFC.
  • Working closely with UAE-based Design Director, Associate Directors, and project teams, you will play a key role in technical delivery, team leadership, and quality, ensuring design intent is developed into coordinated, buildable packages.
  • You will also contribute to the evolution of our digital delivery capabilities through the adoption of BIM, AI-enabled workflows, and platforms such as Vantagepoint.

The Role

  • As an Associate, you will lead the landscape team in Bengaluru and support the delivery of multiple projects simultaneously, providing technical leadership, coordination, programme and resource management, and team mentoring across a range of project types and scales.
  • You will be responsible for maintaining high standards of technical quality, QA/QC, programme performance, and production efficiency, including hours and resource utilisation, throughout the post-concept design stages.

Key Responsibilities

  • Lead the landscape team in the Bengaluru studio, delivering landscape architecture packages across the post-concept design stages, from DD through to Tender and IFC, in support of UAE-based design teams.
  • Translate design intent set by the UAE design leads into accurate, coordinated, and buildable technical packages.
  • Maintain technical quality across all deliverables, implementing QA/QC, checking and review procedures, and drawing standards.
  • Manage project programmes, deliverables, resources, and day-to-day coordination for the landscape team's workload.
  • Monitor and report on project hours, resource utilisation, and forecasting using Vantagepoint (VP), supporting budgeting and resource planning.
  • Act as the landscape point of contact for UAE project leads, agreeing priorities, information requirements, and handovers.
  • Lead and participate in project coordination meetings and progress reviews with UAE teams and consultants.
  • Coordinate with Engineering and BIM colleagues and multidisciplinary consultants to ensure landscape information is fully coordinated.
  • Mentor and support Senior Landscape Architects, Landscape Architects and Graduate Landscape Architects, building capability and a positive, collaborative, and high-performing team culture.
  • Contribute to the development of studio production workflows, templates, and standards, ensuring consistency with the UAE studio.
  • Promote the use of digital technologies, BIM workflows, AI-enabled tools, and Vantagepoint systems to improve project delivery and efficiency.

About You

  • You are an experienced Landscape Architect with strong technical delivery skills and a track record of leading teams through the post-concept design stages, from DD to IFC. You are organised, collaborative, and commercially aware, and comfortable working with international design teams across locations and time zones while maintaining high standards of quality.

Work Experience Requirements:

You will bring:

  • 10+ years of professional experience in Landscape Architecture, with a focus on technical delivery and production.
  • Strong experience across the post-concept design stages (primarily DD, Tender, and IFC) on landscape and external works packages, ideally on GCC or international projects.
  • Proven experience in leading and coordinating a landscape team (6+) and working alongside Engineering and BIM disciplines. Experience in programme and resource planning and QA/QC processes.
  • Commercial awareness, including project hours, utilisation, forecasting, and Vantagepoint (VP).
  • Excellent English communication skills and experience working with international or overseas design teams.
  • Experience mentoring and supporting junior team members.
  • A proactive, collaborative, and solutions-focused approach.

Technical Skills

  • Working knowledge of Civil 3D and MicroStation.
  • Experience using AI-enabled tools to support design development, reporting, and project delivery.
  • Knowledge of emerging digital technologies, automation, and data-driven design processes.

  • Professional Chartership or Accreditation (CMLI, ASLA, AILA, LI, or equivalent) is advantageous.
  • GCC (UAE and/or KSA) project experience is preferred.

What We Offer

  • Opportunity to help build ICON's new Bengaluru studio and lead its landscape team.
  • Exposure to multidisciplinary and international project teams.
  • Clear career progression within a growing and ambitious practice.
  • Access to leading digital design, BIM, AI, and project management technologies.
  • Competitive salary and benefits package.
  • Continuous learning and professional development through knowledge-sharing, mentoring, and internal training opportunities.
