Job Overview:
We are looking for a motivated
Associate IT Engineer to manage our IT infrastructure, including desktops, networks, and IT operations. The ideal candidate should have basic knowledge of firewalls and IT operations. Responsibilities:
- Manage day-to-day IT operations, including desktop setups, software installations, and troubleshooting
- Maintain and monitor network infrastructure, including routers, switches, and firewalls
- Ensure secure and efficient IT systems, working closely with security protocols
- Set up and configure firewall systems to protect network integrity
- Assist in network security assessments and troubleshooting issues related to security breaches
- Monitor system performance and resolve technical issues to ensure uptime and availability
- Maintain accurate IT asset records and ensure proper maintenance of hardware and software inventory
- Assist in maintaining user accounts and permissions across systems
Requirements
- Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science, Information Technology or Related Field
- Basic understanding of networking concepts (LAN/WAN, VPN, IP addressing)
- Familiarity with desktop support and troubleshooting
- Knowledge of firewalls (Cisco, Fortinet, etc.) and network security protocols
- Understanding of IT infrastructure and system administration
Preferred Skills:
- Basic understanding of virtualization and cloud technologies.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to troubleshoot IT issues effectively.
- Good verbal and written communication skills.
- Familiarity with automation and scripting is a plus.
