Role Description The Associate Investment Banking role at GHC Growth Lab is a full-time, on-site position based in Kochi. The associate will support deal execution by building detailed financial models, preparing investment memoranda, pitch decks, and other transaction materials. Day-to-day responsibilities include conducting industry and company research, supporting valuation analysis, and assisting in due diligence for fundraising, M&A, and strategic advisory mandates. The role involves working closely with senior team members to evaluate investment opportunities, structure transactions, and communicate insights to clients and investors. The associate will also contribute to internal process improvement, knowledge sharing, and maintaining a high standard of analytical and presentation quality.
Qualifications

  • Strong Analytical Skills with the ability to interpret complex financial and business information and present clear, data-driven insights.
  • Proficiency in Finance and Investments, including understanding of capital markets, valuation methods, and transaction structures.
  • Hands-on experience with Financial Modeling, including building and maintaining detailed Excel models for projections, valuation, and scenario analysis.
  • Exposure to Due Diligence processes, including data gathering, validating assumptions, and identifying key risks and opportunities.
  • Bachelor's or Master's degree in Finance, Economics, Business, or a related quantitative discipline.
  • Advanced skills in Excel and PowerPoint; familiarity with financial databases and research tools is an advantage.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to prepare clear reports, presentations, and client-ready documents.
  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced, entrepreneurial environment.
  • Prior experience in investment banking, transaction advisory, corporate finance, or a startup/VC environment is preferred but not mandatory.
