Role Summary

Design and detail modular kitchen and wardrobe solutions for residential clients — from initial concept through technical drawings that translate cleanly into manufacturing and site execution. This is a hands-on design role requiring strong command of AutoCAD and SketchUp alongside product knowledge of Spacewood's modular systems.

Key Responsibilities

• Understand client requirements through site visits/briefs and translate them into functional kitchen and wardrobe layouts
• Prepare detailed 2D working drawings (layouts, elevations, sections) in AutoCAD to manufacturing-ready standard
• Create 3D visualizations and walkthroughs in SketchUp to help clients visualize the design before sign-off
• Specify materials, finishes, hardware, and modular components accurately in line with Spacewood's product catalogue
• Prepare accurate BOQs (Bill of Quantities) based on finalized designs
• Coordinate with sales/design consultants to revise designs based on client feedback
• Ensure design-to-production handoff is error-free — verify dimensions, module codes, and finish specs before order release
• Conduct site measurements and technical audits (moisture, structural constraints, electrical/plumbing points) before finalizing design
• Stay current on ergonomic standards, work-triangle principles, and modular design best practices

Requirements

• 1–4 years of experience in interior design, with specific exposure to modular kitchens and wardrobes
• Proficiency in AutoCAD for 2D technical drawings (layouts, elevations, sections, working drawings)
• Proficiency in SketchUp for 3D modeling and rendering/visualization
• Strong understanding of modular furniture materials (MDF, HDF, HDHMR, plywood), finishes (PU, membrane, acrylic, laminate), and hardware systems
• Working knowledge of ergonomic design principles — work triangle, clearances, standard module dimensions
• Ability to read and prepare accurate BOQs
• Strong attention to detail — dimensional accuracy is non-negotiable in this role
• Good communication skills for client-facing design consultations

Preferred Qualifications

• Diploma/Degree in Interior Design, Architecture, or related field
• Prior experience with a modular furniture and interiors company
• Familiarity with rendering tools (V-Ray, Enscape, Lumion) is a plus
