Job Title: Network Security Engineer

Location: Gurgaon

Experience: 2 to 4 Years

Job Summary

We are looking for a motivated and technically skilled Network Security Engineer (L1/L2) with 2 to 4 years of experience in managing enterprise network and security infrastructure. The candidate will be responsible for day-to-day operations, administration, monitoring, maintenance, and troubleshooting of network, security, Wi-Fi, voice, and data infrastructure. The role requires hands-on experience with firewalls, switching technologies, web proxy solutions, and strong knowledge of networking fundamentals.

Roles & Responsibilities

• Manage day-to-day operations, administration, maintenance, and support of network and security infrastructure.
• Monitor and maintain network stability, availability, and performance across LAN, WAN, Wi-Fi, and Voice environments.
• Provide L1/L2 support for network incidents, service requests, and troubleshooting activities.
• Configure, monitor, and troubleshoot Firewalls, Switches, Access Points, and VoIP infrastructure.
• Support security policies, access controls, and network changes as per organizational standards.
• Coordinate network and security maintenance activities and planned outages.
• Work with internal teams and external vendors for installation, upgrades, and troubleshooting of network infrastructure.
• Monitor network s and ensure timely incident resolution and escalation when required.
• Perform routine health checks, upgrades, backups, and documentation of network devices.
• Maintain and enforce operational processes, standards, and procedures.
• Collaborate effectively with cross-functional teams while demonstrating the ability to work independently.
• Ensure accurate documentation of network configurations, incidents, and change records.
  
  

Required Technical Skills

Firewall Management (L1/L2)

• Hands-on experience with Firewall administration and troubleshooting.
• Preferred experience with Fortinet FortiGate Firewalls.
• Understanding of Security Policies, NAT, VPNs, IPS, and Firewall Rule Management.
  
  

Switching & Network Management

• Hands-on experience managing Cisco Switches.
• Knowledge of VLANs, STP, Port Security, Trunking, and Layer 2/Layer 3 Switching.
  
  

Web Proxy Management

• Basic to intermediate experience with Zscaler Web Proxy.
• Understanding of URL filtering, policy management, web traffic monitoring, and troubleshooting.
  
  

Networking Fundamentals

• Strong understanding of networking concepts and OSI Model.
• Knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, Routing, Switching, WAN, LAN, WLAN, and VPN technologies.
• Experience supporting Wi-Fi infrastructure and Access Points.
  
  

Mandatory Requirements

• 2 to 4 years of experience in Network Administration and Network Security Support.
• Working experience with:
• Firewalls (Fortinet preferred)
• Cisco Switching
• Wireless Networks (Access Points)
• WAN/LAN Infrastructure
• VoIP Technologies
• Web Proxy Solutions (Zscaler preferred)
• Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills.
• Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills.
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment.
• Self-motivated with a positive attitude and customer-focused approach.
  

Preferred Qualifications

• CCNA Certification (Mandatory/Preferred)
• Additional certifications in Fortinet (NSE/Fortinet Certified Professional), Cisco, or Zscaler will be an added advantage.
• Experience with enterprise network monitoring tools is preferred.
