Position Overview:
The Fulfillment Support Engineer is responsible for providing L1/L2 production support for DigiKey's fulfillment and warehouse systems, including Manhattan WMOS 2018, WCS (Knapp), shipping, and related integrations.
This role combines hands-on operational support, incident resolution, technical troubleshooting, and continuous improvement, ensuring system stability while proactively reducing technical debt and improving performance.
The ideal candidate has experience with Manhattan WMOS 2018(or other versions), MHE Integration (Knapp or other products), warehouse execution environments, and is comfortable working in a fast-paced, mission-critical operation. Any hands-on expertise in developing .NET-based applications is also a bonus.
Key Responsibilities
Production Support & Operations
- Monitor Manhattan WMOS application health using dashboards, alerts, and system logs
- Respond to L1/L2 production incidents and service requests within defined SLAs
- Perform first-level analysis and escalate complex issues to senior engineers
- Support warehouse operations teams by resolving system-related queries
- Participate in rotational support shifts, including occasional off-hours support as required
Technical Troubleshooting
- Perform initial troubleshooting of:
- Manhattan WMOS transactions and workflows
- Order processing, inventory, picking, packing, and shipping issues
- System integrations between WMOS and external applications
- Review logs and execute basic SQL queries for issue investigation
- Assist in validating fixes and supporting UAT/production verification
System & Data Support
- Support configuration updates and master data maintenance
- Monitor batch jobs and interface jobs for successful execution
- Maintain incident documentation and update knowledge base articles
- Assist with minor defect fixes and enhancement validation
Collaboration & Knowledge Management
- Work under guidance of senior WMOS engineers and architects
- Coordinate with infrastructure, database, and integration teams for issue resolution
- Participate in knowledge transfer sessions and technical training programs
- Develop understanding of warehouse execution, material handling systems, and fulfillment processes
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience
- Bachelor's degree in engineering, Computer Science, IT, or related field
- 1–3 years of experience in application support or warehouse systems (internships acceptable)
- Basic understanding of SQL and database concepts
- Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills
- Good verbal and written communication skills
Preferred Qualifications:
- Exposure to Manhattan WMOS (any version)
- Knowledge of supply chain or warehouse operations
- Familiarity with ITSM tools (ServiceNow, Azure DevOps, etc.)
- Willingness to work in rotational shifts

- Work is primarily performed at a desk and/or in an office environment for 3/4 of the day and up
- The office noise level in the work environment is typically moderate
