Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

  • Ensure adherence to global accounting processes, IFRS standards, and group guidelines.
  • Perform timely and accurate accounting and financial reporting activities.
  • Manage month-end accounting and reporting processes using SAP, MS Excel, and other tools.
  • Review, validate, and update accounting records, process documents, and reports for compliance.
  • Perform balance sheet reconciliations and initiate follow-ups on outstanding items.
  • Ensure accurate accounting, controlling, and reporting at all levels including General Ledger (GL), cost centres, and internal orders, including monthly accrual postings.
  • Liaise with Technology Leadership Team (LT), Finance Business Partners (FBPs), procurement, OPSCM, and Procure-to-Pay (PTP) teams to provide timely updates.
  • Collaborate with the Onsite Headquarters Finance team for monthly cost sign-offs and provide explanations for management reporting.
  • Adhere to the Risk and Internal Control Compliance (RICC) framework and perform controls attestation.
  • Conduct audits of agencies operating within the Headquarters geography.
  • Proactively suggest recommendations and implement process and system improvements to enhance the control environment.
  • Actively contribute to continuous improvement initiatives in General Ledger and cost centre accounting, controlling, and reporting.

Qualifications:

  • Financial educational background such as Chartered Accountant (CA), Cost Accountant, MBA, CA/CWA Finalist, M.Com., B.Com. or equivalent.
  • Minimum 3 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in accounting and reporting, preferably in book closing, finalization, and reporting.
  • Good working knowledge of SAP with experience in cost centre and internal order setups.

Skills and Competencies:

  • Proactive and self-motivated with a continuous improvement mindset.
  • Strong analytical skills and structured working methods.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English.
  • Adaptability to dynamic work environments and ability to manage high workload and unplanned activities.
  • Team player with a collaborative approach to achieving results.
  • Experience in the shipping or transportation industry is an advantage but not mandatory.
